From the 5 to 18 May, La Place welcomes the exhibition WU LAB, unveiling a collection of unique, never seen before objects, that have travelled the world with the Wu-Tang Clan.

This legendary American hip-hop group, formed at the start of the 1990s by RZA (leader and producer of the group will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2018.

To mark this occasion, Olivier Annet N’Guessan (journalist and major player in the Hip-Hop world) and John Mook Gibbons (cousin of RZA and CEO of Wu Tang Management) imagined this retrospective exhibition together.

“The idea is to let the public dive into the prolific imagination of the group, whose logo and wider aesthetic has inspired many artists of several genres: stylists, designers…”

The exhibition sets a stage which specifically reminds us of Wu-Tang’s creative universe bringing together paintings, records, album covers, limited edition clothing, unseen photographs, art objects and more.
