From 21 January to 25 March 2016, the Instituto Cervantes of Paris, Galerie Photo12 and Galerie Boa are presenting "Interior", an exhibition of paintings and photographs by Catalan artist Taulé.

Taulé's work explores the links between shadow and light, interior and exterior, presence and absence and shows spaces plunged into darkness from which a thin light beam emerges, enlightening decors sometimes peopled with individuals, isolated and lonely, generally void of any kind of human presence.

A gateway to a multitude of imaginary worlds. Paintings of the double, where shadow takes precedence over real objects,Taulé’s work is deeply enigmatic.

ABOUT TAULÉ

Taulé was born in Barcelona in 1945. After his architectural studies, he devoted himself to painting. His first solo exhibition took place in 1975. Since 1983, Taulé has worked in theatres (Tchekhov, Noureev, Sarraute...) and created sets.

His works are also present in private collections and important international public institutions (USA, Japan, China, France and Spain). Since then, his work has been the subject of several retrospectives.
