Waddington Custot is pleased to present a solo exhibition of new works by Kenia Almaraz Murillo (born 1994 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia) alongside two works by Olga de Amaral (born 1932 in Bogotá, Colombia).

This exhibition highlights the unique artistic practice of Kenia Almaraz Murillo, inspired by the culture of the Andean peoples of the Bolivian highlands. Through her work, she explores the resonance between her Andean cultural and spiritual heritage and that of her adopted French culture, and more specifically the imprint of Western urban life. The alchemy she creates offers a universal exploration and vision, echoing the artistic approach of her Colombian elder, Olga de Amaral.
