Africa Unite, the auction for the benefit of African artists, will be live on Drouot Online on 28 October at 7pm (CET)

Africa Unite! the auction initiated by the Foundation for the Development of Contemporary African Culture and the African Culture Fund for the benefit of initiatives to support contemporary African art during the Covid19 pandemic, has been postponed to 28 October, 2020. 

This initiative brings together more than thirty contemporary African artists who have offered over sixty artworks including Soly Cissé, Joana Choumali, Mohamed El Baz, William Kentridge, Siriki Ky, Abdoulaye Konaté, Mohamed Melehi, Barthélémy Toguo,and Jems Koko Bi. These artists came forward and offered to contribute to this sale.The artistic community and the organizers of the sale are very grateful to them. 

The auction houses Cornette de Saint Cyr and La Marocaine des Arts who are organizing the sale free of charge, advised the Foundation for the Development of Contemporary African Culture and the African Culture Fund that the date of 28 October, would be more conducive to the success of this auction which is dedicated the support of contemporary art, the main objective of this charitable initiative. 

The Foundation for the Development of Contemporary African Culture and the African Culture Fund will continue to work together to promote contemporary African culture through their ongoing actions and invite all African art-lovers and enthusiasts to join them on 28 October on the Drouot Online website at 7pm CET.
