Genius Loci is delighted to invite its friends on a getaway to the south of France for a special programme centred on Jean-Michel Othoniel's exhibition in Avignon and the Rencontres de la photographie in Arles.

Commitment runs through the entire programme of this 56th edition of the Rencontres d'Arles. From Australia to Brazil, by way of North America, at a time when the world is shaken by rising nationalism and environmental crises, the photographic perspectives on offer provide an essential counterpoint to dominant narratives, celebrating the diversity of cultures, genders and origins.

This trip will be an opportunity to discover together the vitality of the international art scene, but also to visit some iconic venues such as the Collection Lambert, as well as more secret addresses such as the private residence of artist-designer Hubert Le Gall.
