Galerie Cécile Fakhoury has had to close its exhibition spaces in Abidjan, Dakar, and Paris.

In order to keep supporting its artists, to keep showcasing their work, and to allow their work to be seen, read, or listened to, the gallery is present on their website and social media: artist spotlights, online catalogues, playlists, viewing rooms, and visits through images. The selected content is inspiring, rich in its creativity, and the best that contemporary African art offers.

>>> Visit Serigne Ibrahima Dieye's solo exhibition, Paraboles d'un règne sauvage, through images - Abidjan

In a transformed space, aimed at distorting the viewer's spatial awareness, Serigne Ibrahima Dieye presents a series of paintings, works on paper as well as an immersive installation as an extension of his reflections on the political and social landscape of our contemporary societies.

By using a visual fable, the artist portrays the story of a confrontation between characters masked as animals, whose selfishness, desire for power, and obscure intentions do not shy away from evoking a certain group of present-day world leaders.

>>> Playlist by the Franco-Senegalese artist Vincent Michéa

Known for his pop and colourful paintings that borrow their themes from popular film and music culture as well as from the daily life of West African cities, Vincent Michéa has also developped a more personal, yet equally ambitious, focused approach as this exhibition aims to make viewers continuously discover and rediscover.

In the "selection of" section, the artists take the floor and plunge us into their universe by sharing works, films, books, and music that have stimulated their imagination.
