The city hall of Orléans is pleased to present Les Voix d’Orléans (The Voices of Orléans), a round table series that aims to project the voices of Francophone intellectuals who study the universal values of humanity since the time of the Enlightenment.

These French-speaking men and women come from 16 countries around the globe to speak about topics that affect our present society. These discussions will enrich our personal perspectives in an ever changing world.

The intellectual, artistic, scientific sectors of Orléans are enhanced by centuries of rich history. As a result, Orléans welcoms the first edition of Les Voix d’Orléans. Its theme focuses on “ What do women think about the world? What does the world think about women?”

Discussions about women in revolutions, wars, education and creators will take place around town. Debating begins with Henriette Walter, a linguist and retired  professor from the university of Haute-Bretagne, who will moderate the first round table.

Enlightening meetings, broadcasted debates, night-time programs, iconographic walks, round table tours, thought-provoking exhibitions and author signings are all on the agenda of the first edition of Les Voix d’Orléans.
