Di Meo gallery has entrusted Communic’art with the creation of a catalogue. Gallo belongs to the “New Roman School” movement, which included other great artists such as Pizzi Cannella, Tirelli and Dessi. This is his third exhibition at Galerie Di Meo.

Music and composers have inspired Gallo : Mozart, Rossini, Beiro, Schönberg, Riley are poetically and symbolicaly represented in his work.

Despite the very large size of some of his paintings, the majority form an “intimate vignette” of each of these great musicians.

Art critic Nicolas d’Estienne d’Orves writes for the catalogue’s introduction : “Doesn’t the perpetual balance between pleasure and theory summarize Giuseppes Gallo’s work? An art that speaks without imposing itself, that denies neither the pleasure nor the inmediate seduction, and by doing so touches the heart? In other words, another definition of music.”

The catalogue presents in a small and elegant format an intimate view of the richness of the texture of the paintings. Pictures of the artist in his studio allow the reader to penetrate his universe.

Giuseppe Gallo, born in 1954, lives and works in Rome. Since 1975, his works have successively been exhibited in
museums and galleries throughout Europe and the United States. He also participated in the 1990 edition of the Venice Biennale.

This catalogue is distributed by le Comptoir des Indépendants in 300 bookstores in France, including 50 specialized
with an Art section.

The catalogue will be listed in over forty (40) professional databases and online bookstores, including Fnac, Amazon and Dilicom.
