An exclusive selection of French Art will be put up for auction on April 4 at 7pm, under the lead of Arnaud Cornette de Saint-Cyr.

An unprecedented critical review complements this collective enterprise in favour of French art, AF20.1, that showcasts the works of more than 70 artists active in France during the 1960-80 period.

For this occasion, a 304-page critical book bringing together the contributions of more than 30 writers will be published in 7,000 copies and freely delivered.

The Cornette de Saint Cyr auction house has entrusted the media campaign of this event to Communic’Art.

A collective initiative in favour of French Art

Coordinated by Stéphane Corréard, head of the Contemporary Art Department at the Cornette de Saint Cyr auction house, and auctioned by Arnaud Cornette de Saint Cyr, the AF20.1 auction will showcast the artworks of more than 70 artists from France between 1960 and 1980, selected by distinguished members of the art world (curators, critics, art dealers, artists…) for their growing influence on the contemporary art scene.

An unprecedented critical review supports this exceptional auction, bringing together eminent voices from both the public and private sectors, who share a commitment to the promotion of French Art.

More than 30 art experts – curators, critics, art historians – were gathered in a critical book, to reconsider the potential of French artists of this period.

A complimentary reference book

Published as part of this special initiative, the AF20.1 reference book offers a new perspective on the artists represented on April 4, highlighting their major contribution to French Art in the 1960-1980 period. 7,000 copies of this critical book will be freely delivered, featuring all artworks put up for auction on April 4.

The lots’ comprehensive descriptions and estimates will be available in the auction catalogue. 304 pages, colour illustrations, 21 x 27 cm, hard cover, bilingual French/English, unreleased texts.
