For the seventh year in a row, Carpenters Workshop Gallery is taking part in PAD Paris from 26 to 29 March 2015 in the Jardin des Tuileries, booth 47, with works by the designers Vincent Dubourg, Johanna Grawunder, Rick Owens and Robert Stadler.

After the success of his solo show Dans l’Atelier in 2014 in Paris, Carpenters Workshop Gallery will present Vincent Dubourg’s aluminium piece Insideer Alu. The paradoxical deconstruction of this piece is evidence of the French designer’s methodical sense of art.

Robert Stadler copies, cuts out and shifts materials, marble, honeycomb steel, resulting in work that seems more like a composite borrowing from the vocabulary of architecture. Grande console cut_paste comes from Airspace, his latest offering, on show in the Parisian gallery until 4 April.

A trained fashion designer, Rick Owens has been living and working in Paris for over ten years, but he came to his sombre, minimal style in the US. The lines of his Double Bubble couch and Alabaster Screen are accentuated and powerful, reflecting the designer’s vision.

A native of Southern California, Johanna Grawunder is an architect of light. Her Goldbar chandelier, with its architectural lines and subtle lighting is a perfect illustration of her research.

ABOUT CARPENTERS WORKSHOP GALLERY

Carpenters Workshop Gallery transcends classical borders in terms of art and design. Its proposal stands just at the intersection of these two universes: reaching precisely a symbiosis of art and design.

Carpenters Workshop Gallery produces and exhibits functional sculptures by international rising and already established artists and designers going outside their traditional territories of expression. The gallery is actively involved in the research and production of the limited edition works exhibited. The choices are guided by the research of an emotional, artistic and historical relevance; a relevance that appears as an evidence.
