- In June, the name of the winner of the International Strasbourg Glass Prize will be announced. Launched in 2008 by ESGAA, in partnership with the Banque CIC Est, this international price has had great success with more than 90 submissions from 25 countries (USA, Colombia, Australia, Japan, Europe).

The winner will get a prize of 5 000 €.
An award ceremony will be held during the Autumn of 2009 and the winning artwork will be exhibited at the office of Bank CIC Est in Strasbourg.

- The event Strasbourg Capitale du Verre,

initiated in 2006 by ESGAA, becomes in 2009 the Biennale internationale du Verre (International Glass Biennal). Various aspects of glass art are presented in more than 15 exhibitions in Strasbourg and its surroundings : art, design, decorative art, architecture, sculpture, photography...

The historical and cultural background of the Alsace and Lorraine regions -craddles of the great French crystal-glass making (Saint-Louis, Baccarat, Lalique) is the right context for this European rendez-vous for glass amateurs.
