Kristina Heckova, a young student in 5th year at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, has won the first edition of the prize of the International Drawing Art Fair of the 21th century in March 2010.

Awarded by a jury of art professionals, the 2010 FID prize consisted of a one month solo exhibition at Hadrien de Montferrand gallery in Beijin : a rewarding experience for an emerging artist.

Created in 2009 by Hadrien de Montferrand, with the help of Laurent Dassault, Hadrien de Montferrand Gallery is the first gallery in China entirely dedicated to original works on paper by chinese and international artists.

Internationally oriented, Hadrien de Montferrand Gallery has chosen to present exhibitions of works in pencil, ink, gouache, felt, charcoal, watercolor and any other medium on paper.

This exhibition is a rewarding experience for this 26 year-old artist whose pure line aims at depicting a bestiary around white spaces.

The series of drawings entitled “Les animaux morts” (The Dead Animals) is composed of portraits of animals being tortured wtih a terribly calm face. This series of drawings express the suspended dialogue between humans and animals.

By working with galleries, businesses can take advantage of the law and support contemporary art.

In autumn 2009, the Comité Professionnel des galeries d’Art entrusted Communic’Art with a communication campaign on corporate sponsorship.

Based on a forceful slogan “Of Which Artist will you become the Sponsor?” (“De quel artiste vivant allez-vous devenir le mécène ?”) Communic’Art created a four-page brochure which explained the law with explicit examples.

During the Salon du dessin contemporain in Paris, the agency Communic’Art, thanks to the law in favor of cultural sponsorship, acquired from Gallery Espace à Vendre, “Foule Sahara” a drawing by French emerging artist Emmanuel Régent.

Born in Nice in 1973, Emmanuel Régent graduated from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In his works, he uses the concept of loss to create spaces for projection, wandering and dispersion.

Depicting crowds, demonstrations or disciplined queues, the series Foule refers to the idea of uncertainty and fragility of the visible that has always fascinated the artist.

The benefits of the law :

- Companies have five years of reduced tax base equal to a sum equal to the purchase price in the annual limit of 0.5% of their turnover.

- These deductions are made equally over five years.

-All companies are concerned.

At the time of FIAC in october 2009, the Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art, chaired by Patrick Bongers and gathering over 180 galleries in France, took the initiative to communicate strongly on the sponsorship law updated in France in 2003. If the law is aimed at both businesses and individuals, the Committee chose initially to target businesses and explained the tax measures reserved for businesses.

Communic’Art created a communication’s campaign around the forceful slogan “De quel artiste vivant allez-vous devenir le mécène?”( “Of Which Artist will you become the Sponsor ? “. The slogan is declined on a four-pages brochure and two advertising inserts in the fairs catalogues. The booklet presents four devices of the law:

- The measures favouring the commitment of all businesses in supporting contemporary art creation.
- The scarcity of constraints to become the sponsor of a living artist.
- Three examples of calculation to evaluate the benefits of the law.
- Why it is still wise to buy in an art gallery.

Printed in 10 000 copies, this brochure will be distributed during FIAC and Slick by members of Le Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art. The double page in the catalogue of the FIAC, space offered by the organizers, summarizes the description made in the brochure. It is the same for the single page in the catalogue of Slick, space offered by the organizers.

The entire text of the law can be found on the Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art website : www.cpga.info.

Galerie in 1987 and launched at the fair Art Paris on Wednesday March 28, 2007 a new entity called Monumental Art Project, “large-scale artworks for the public and for corporations”. Jean-Gabriel Mitterrand has hired Communic’Art to insure the advising on its visual identity, communication strategies and all media relations, for the launch of Monumental Art Project.

This commercial activity is dedicated to advising and selling large-scale artworks (sculptures, fountains, mobiles…), created by the most renown modern and contemporary artists. Monumental Art Project offers its international expertise and and large experience to cities and corporations wishing to commission, acquire and present large-scale artworks.

Launching Monumental Art Project responds to the growing interest of cities and corporations for this type of projects, which are becoming even more favorable in France thanks to the sponsoring laws of 2003.

- la liste des foires d’art auxquelles participe la galerie
- un espace privé qui permet d’accéder à des informations sur les œuvres disponibles à la vente
- les catalogues édités par la galerie et accessibles à la vente en ligne
