A catalogue Jean Tinguely for JGM. Galerie

Communic'Art has created a new line of catalogues for JGM. Galerie. The first is for an exhibition of Sculptures 1960-1990 by Jean Tinguely

From March 18 until April 29, JGM.Galerie will present an exhibition of twenty sculptures made by Jean Tinguely between the 60s and 90s. As a representative member of the New Realism movement, Jean Tinguely was using industrialized and rejected objects to construct his sculptures.

TinguelyThe sculptures on view, made in various dimensions, pay tribute to the multiple aspects of Tinguely’s work, where movement glorifies the object.

After the success of the Tinguely Museum in Basel and of certain recent public auctions, this exhibition stimulates the interest for this French artist who has left a mark on the artistic scene of the 1960s and 70s.

The catalogue presents a two-fold approach on the work of Tinguely through texts by two different generations of critics: Pontus Hulten who was Tinguely’s friend in the 1950s, the author of various titles on the artist and the director of the Museum of Modern At at the Centre Georges Pompidou between 1973 and 1981, and Andres Pardey, current curator of the Tinguely Museum in Basel.

This catalogue is distributed by our partner PARIS MUSÉES in 300 bookstores in France, including 50 specialized with an Art section and it will be listed in over forty (40) professional databases, including Fnac, Amazon and Dilicom as well as in online bookstores.

The catalogue will also be distributed in Europe, North America, Canada, and Eastern Europe.

A catalogue Marc Quinn for Hopkins-Custot

One of the Young British Artists, Marc Quinn, for the first time in France ! A catalogue was created by Communic'Art for Hopkins-Custot

Born in London in 1964, Marc Quinn is one of the internationally known Young British Artists, notably for a sculpture installed on Trafalgar Square that represents the disabled artist Alison Lapper.

QuinnGalerie Hopkins-Custot presents Marc Quinn’s work for the first time in France. At first, at the 10th pavillon des Antiquaires from March 25 until April 2 and then at the gallery from April 3 until June 15.

Marc Quinn explores the mediated and disjointed relationship with nature and what is natural.

“What’s interesting to me is to make art that’s about reality, not about formal invention. I’m interested in all extremes. I like things that appear to strain at epitomising themselves.”

The elegant catalogue includes a large interview of the artist, both in French and English, as well as a total of 53 reproductions including 29 full page.

Six new ultra-realists large canvases are presented in 3 fold-outs leaflets, giving its originality to the catalogue and allowing for a detailed understanding of each of the works.

This catalogue is distributed by our partner PARIS MUSÉES in 300 bookstores in France, including 50 specialized with an Art section. The catalogue will be listed in over forty (40) professional databases, including Fnac, Amazon and Dilicom as well as in online bookstores.

The catalogue will also be distributed in Europe, North America, Canada and Eastern Europe.
